LATEST IMAGES - LATE SEPTEMBER RED KITE IN TYPICAL GIGRIN FARM POSE Not having anything particular set up but with the nice weather continuing I went up to Gigrin Farm for a day. I hadn't been there for a while and was pleased to see many more Kites than before. These allowed me to waste lots of film (I must get a digital camera soon) as they soared over head waiting for some unseen signal to swoop down and pick up the food. RED KITE PLUNGING FOR FOOD (yes it is the right way up) ROOK CALLING As well as the kites there was also opportunity to take pictures of other species, particularly Buzzards, Rooks, Crows and perhaps more surprisingly Herons as they perched on the posts near the first hide. All in all a good day as the sun stayed out all day, most unlike Wales. BUZZARD |
