Slimbridge WWT does provide some good photographic opportunities for duck flight shots although the action is a bit intermittent and a little far away. In addition very few of the hides have big enough opening for a big lens especially with the lens hood on. However with perseverance and the Canon 1D Mark 11 and 500mm lens +1.4 ext I did manage some reasonable shots on a day visit as well as the masses of rejects.
