LATEST IMAGES - JUNE

Our visit to the Shetlands left us little time to get out and about in the few days of June that were left on our return, the garden had gone rampant. However we did manage a couple of days at a late Pied Flycatcher nest in the local woods. As always lighting is a problem as they nest late and the Oak canopy is well developed. These pictures were taken without flash as the box did get some sunlight late in the afternoon. Most of the time the adults, on their way to feed the young, landed too high in the tree for photography but I did mange to get the female once as she perched for a instant on a lower branch.
