LATEST IMAGES - OCTOBER1

The Fallow Deer in the Forest do not seem as numerous this year as previously, however we have managed to obtain some pictures recently. We were especially hoping for Bucks and were rewarded at a Deer Lawn and at our usual hide. The two Bucks we photographed are very different in their colouration, one almost black whilst the other was very Bambi like.

FALLOW BUCK WALKING PAST OUR HIDE

At the same time the Fallow Buck was at the salt lick I was aware of the grass moving quite close to the hide; it was a Fox scent marking the clump of grass. I quickly moved the camera and took a few images before the Fox walked away. After a couple of hours waiting for something to happen I had a choice of pictures, the Buck, the Fox and a female Deer waiting on the edge of the lawn to come to the salt lick!
