LATEST IMAGES - SEPTEMBER2

We have usually visited Martin Mere, the WWT  reserve in Lancashire, during the winter months to photograph primarily the Whooper Swans. This year we took an earlier trip to see the mass of Pink Footed Geese before they disperse around the country. The Geese were surprisingly near to the hides but for most of the day the light was coming straight into them making photography difficult. However there was about an hour after the reserve opened when the light was reasonable and all the best pictures from a two day visit were taken during that time. Ideally we needed to have been in the best two hides at the same time or even better had access to the Reserve before the opening time of 0930!
