Our second week saw us on the Island of Yell, situated between Unst and the Mainland Island. Yell gave us a number of sightings of Otter but we only managed a few shots that even with the ISO turned up on the digital camera were not very good. Incidentally we suffered a major problem with our Canon 1D Mark11 as it wouldn't recognise that a lens had been attached. We had to rely on a 20D that is not so good for flight shots and we were thankful that we had packed the EOS3 and some film. Yell provided us, amongst other species, the best opportunity for photographing Golden Plover.
