A friend very kindly let me have an afternoon in his 'Kingfisher' hide. The light was great and a Kingfisher was flying about when my friend put me in the hide. After about an hour it came close enough to photograph although not in the best light. Eventually the Kingfisher sat on the post it was supposed to and proceeded to catch a number of small fish. It was a magical afternoon and I hope I can repay my friend sometime.
