Glaucous Gulls were easy to find on North Uist during our winter visit and it provided us with our first good opportunity to photograph this large gull.

In the Outer Hebrides it is easy to see  why Common Gulls are so called. They are so much more dainty than the similar Herring Gulls and also appear much more maneuverable in flight
