We spent quite a lot of time on the beach at Aird an Runair near the Balranald RSPB Reserve as there were many waders there. These were mainly feeding on the kelp that had been washed ashore after the storms. Turnstones and in particular Purple Sandpipers seemed too busy feeding to be bothered about a couple of photographers getting close to them. Every day seemed to present us with different photographic opportunities and  we certainly wasted a lot of pixels trying to capture them in flight.
