Finland is a country we have long admired both for the wildlife and the innovative photographers. Last week I had the chance to return to the Kuusamo region of Northern Finland where a number of Great Grey Owls had taken up residence and were hunting during the day. Unfortunately, the owls did not come down to a lure but were still great to see and take more formal portrait shots. It was surprising that they ignored us as we crunched through the deep snow towards them.
