We expected to find much more birdlife from the Kelotok during our trips on the river in Tanjung Puting National Park, Kingfishers and Hornbills were the main species we encountered. Our guide spotted a very obliging False Ghavial (Crocodile) and we also photographed Long Tailed Macaques.
Unfortunately, our trip came to an abrupt end when Helen slipped at Camp Leakey and broke her right arm. So instead of a few days in Bali, we spend the end of our holiday in a hospital in Jakarta. Helen is making a good recovery which is a relief, especially as it was her 'shutter arm' she broke!
