Watching badgers is always a great and uplifting experience although with the proposed badger cull there was pleasure, sadness and anger felt all at the same time. Our friend had been watching this sett over a number of years and the cubs had no fear of us. They quite happily came within a couple of yards and were not disturbed by our flashes or even a torch when it became too dark to see them. This was also the first time we had used the 1D MK1V for badgers and was pleasantly surprised on how well the autofocus worked even in almost total darkness.
