Late each afternoon the Gentoo Penguins formed groups just off shore and then swam up and down close to the beach before coming into land. Sometimes they would come ashore on their own whilst at other times they would come ashore en masse. Which ever way they did finally come ashore, they came in at speed and provided us with both plenty of photographic opportunities and plenty of smiles.
