The Rookery cottage on Saunders Island is very close to a Rockhopper Penguin colony that is famous for a Rockhopper shower. The Penguins seem to spend quite a bit of time under the shower, both bathing and drinking. The photography was quite difficult as under the shower was quite dark so a touch of fill in flash was required, the amount varying depending if the white or black side of the penguin was towards the camera. We could have spent all our time here watching the penguins showering and squabbling to get the best spot.
