LATEST IMAGES - SOUTH GEORGIA1

We were so taken with our trip to South Georgia in 2008, we went again. This time we went a little earlier to try and see masses of King Penguins in snow and we had a fantastic day in the snow at Salisbury Plain. The weather was very variable and we were very surprised to have a day at St Andrews bay with full sun and absolutely no wind, almost unheard of.  One of the drawbacks of going early in the season, October, are the rough seas and both to and from South Georgia we endured some very rough conditions but it was fun trying to take images from the back of the boat!
