We recently made a return visit to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula primarily to have a another go at the Pine Martens that visit the rented cottage for their daily dose of jam and peanuts. This year we had at least two Pine Martens visiting, one had a distinct light patch on the top of its head. After a couple of days we tuned in to their routine, they seemed to make their first visit of the day between 5 and 6.30 pm and then again between 8 and 9.30 pm. This allowed us to go out during the early part of the day and then have session with them in the late afternoon. It was then in for tea and back out for the later evening session, all very civilised! We used a camera trap to help us sort out their routine and it also showed they were visiting during the night.
