As we were staying near Stoer in a lovely converted
outbuilding during our visit to Assynt we had a number of trips out to the
lighthouse and the Old Man of Stoer Head. It was a lovely if somewhat
bracing walk and we certainly enjoyed the solitude and views across to
Handa. Assynt lived up to all our expectations, so much so we hope to go
back next year and get up to the top of some of the spectacular mountains.
