Cannop Pond in the Forest of Dean usually holds a good variety of duck including the lovely Mandarin. This spring it was blessed with 3 drake and one female Garganey. This was the first time either of us had seen these summer migrants in the UK. They were especially confiding and would regularly be within a few feet of the path at the top of Cannop Pond.
