Rothiemurchus Estate near Aviemore in Scotland have three hides set up on a small pond brimming with trout that the local Ospreys know all about. I had three sessions in the hides with Neil McIntyre and thoroughly enjoyed the experience although I was left with the feeling that a few more sessions would have produced the ultimate shot! The first morning was very misty and it was difficult to see the other side of the pond at times. An osprey came in very early and the mist didn't seem to affect its eyesight. I was surprised by the depth that the Ospreys went into the water before usually coming out with a large trout.
