Photographically our recent trip to the Congo Republic was not very productive. Most of the many birds we saw were at a distance and the forest elephants only visited the bai during the night. We did come across a forest elephant during a boat trip down a river which was a highlight of the trip. Forest Buffalos did come into the bai during the day but were quite nervous. Other game we saw in the bai were bush bucks and Sitatunga but again these had to be photographed from the veranda overlooking the bai as they were very nervous.
