LATEST IMAGES - WEST PAPUA2 King Birds of Paradise seem to spend all of their time high in the trees making photography exceedingly difficult. There is always a branch in the way or bright patches of sky shining through the trees. However we did take a few images but nothing great, maybe next time! As many of the sites were very dark we took a good number of videos which need slower shutter speeds and then extracted a still from them. This worked surprisingly well but action or flight shots were out of the question. We did spend some time up on a tower in the treetops and also on the side of a hill trying to capture images of other birds. Many of the birds were very distant but some did come close enough for some images.
