Well as you got past the Homepage you must be interested in wildlife photography. So hopefully our Website contains something that will make your visit worthwhile. We have tried to show a range of bird and mammal images that reflect our current interest and added some trip reports which should be useful for anybody else wanting to go on a photography visit.
Our photography concentrates almost exclusively on birds and mammals and is divided between attempting to capture on film and now digitally the local wildlife and trips further a field, being particularly taken with Finland. We have visited it six times in the last two years and been particularly impressed and inspired with their photographers more adventurous approach to wildlife photography.
We are based in the Forest of Dean, on the Welsh side of the Severn Estuary although still in England. The Forest of Dean is a relatively unknown area and is probably best known for the nesting Peregrines at Symonds Yat above the River Wye. The Forest contains a small population of Fallow Deer and many other birds and mammals although they can be hard to see and even harder to photograph. Perhaps the most unusual species is the strong population of Mandarin Ducks, originating from Slimbridge which is only a few miles away as the crow flies, resident in the Forest.
We hope you enjoy your visit to our Website. Navigation around the site should be obvious but if in doubt click on the headings in the CONTENT section of the site.
