The snow geese came to the crane pools during the middle of the day at Bosque del Apache in groups of relatively small numbers. The numbers built up until the pond seemed almost to be covered with geese. We were fortunate to be treated to a mass blast off from the water on two occasions; the sight and sound will always stay with me. Hopefully the images below will give you a taste of what we saw although you will have to imagine the sound!
