The saline flats of the Little Rann of Kutch on the southern edge of the Thar Desert is home to the Indian Ass or Onager. They are reasonably approachable although didn't provide a vast array of differing photographic opportunities. The saline flats themselves were a fascinating place with small commercial salt pans dotted throughout the flats. On the edge of the desert we came across Indian Courser and a pond with some very tame wintering Black Tailed Godwit.
